FAQs
We know shopping online can come with questions—and we’re happy to help.
Here you’ll find answers to our most frequently asked questions about Whiskers & Finch orders, shipping, sizing, returns, and our cat-inspired apparel. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, feel free to reach out—we’re real humans (with cats) and we’d love to help.
Where are you located?
We’re a small, couple-owned brand based in sunny Tucson, Arizona — creating cozy cat goods from the desert (with plenty of cat naps along the way).
Are you actually real cat lovers, or are you just trying to make money off of my love of kitties?
Yes, yes, we are cat lovers. Very real ones. You can head on over to read Our Story, and here you can Meet Our Team, including our five cats who supervise everything we do.
When will I receive my order?
Whiskers & Finch is a small, couple-owned business, and all of our shirts are printed just for you when you place an order. This made-to-order process helps us cut down on textile waste and reduce our environmental impact — because thoughtful creation matters to us.
Printing typically takes about 3 business days. Once your order ships, standard shipping times apply based on your location:
-
United States: 3–4 business days after shipping
- Canada: 6–10 business days after shipping
- International: 5–20 business days after shipping
How will I know my items have shipped?
Once your order ships, you’ll receive an email with tracking details. Please allow about three business days for processing before shipment. If you haven’t received tracking information after that time, feel free to reach out — we’re happy to help.
Do you ship internationally?
We do! Please be aware that we will ship using the most affordable carrier that is available at the time to keep costs lower for you.
We don't ship orders to Russia, Belarus, Ecuador, Cuba, Iran, Crimea, Luhansk, Donetsk, Syria, the Gaza Strip of Palestine, or North Korea (due to shipping restrictions). We ship internationally to all other countries!
Do you charge more for plus sizes?
All of our sizes are priced equally. We don’t believe in charging more for plus sizes because everyone deserves the same cozy, carefully made pieces. If you don’t see your size listed, contact us — we’re happy to help.
How do I choose the right size?
We include a size guide on every product page to help you find your perfect fit. If you’re unsure or have questions, just send us a message at contact@whiskersandfinch.com — we’re here for you.
How should I care for my shirt?
To keep your shirt feeling soft, cozy, and well-loved, we recommend a little extra care:
Washing
• Machine wash cold, inside out, on a gentle cycle with similar colors
• Use a mild detergent
• Avoid fabric softeners and do not dry clean
• Use non-chlorine bleach only when needed
Drying
• Hang dry when possible, or tumble dry on low
Ironing
• Use a cool iron inside out
• Never iron directly on the printed design
Treating your shirt gently helps prevent fading, cracking, and shrinking — so it stays cozy, comfy, and ready for many cat-filled days ahead.
I love a design, but it’s not available on the product I want. What can I do?
If there’s a design you love but don’t see it offered on a specific product, feel free to reach out to us. We’re happy to explore a custom cat order on a case-by-case basis. We want to be sure each design and product pair beautifully — and that the final piece is truly one to purr over.
I have an idea for a design! Can I submit it to you?
For sure! Send us a message at contact@whiskersandfinch.com, and we will happily review it!
Do you offer gift options?
Not just yet — but it’s something we’d love to offer in the future. We’re exploring cozy gifting options as we grow. Join our email list to be the first to hear when gifting becomes available.
Is your packaging recyclable?
Many of the materials we use in our packaging are recyclable, though it can vary based on your local recycling guidelines.
Our kraft mailers and cardboard boxes are widely accepted and can usually be placed in your paper recycling bin. We also use PCR plastic mailers, made from low-density polyethylene (LDPE, #4 plastic). While recyclable, these are typically not accepted in standard curbside recycling and are best dropped off at designated plastic bag or film recycling locations.
Because recycling rules differ by location, we recommend checking with your local waste management provider for the most accurate guidance. Thoughtful recycling helps ensure materials are properly processed and kept out of landfills whenever possible.
